Fluorine-18 (18F)-fluorodeoxyglucose (FDG)-positron emission tomography (PET) computed tomography (CT) [18F-FDG PET/CT] is one of the most commonly used modalities in many aspects of oncologic imaging such as diagnosis, staging, re-staging, monitoring and evaluation after treatment. As the usage frequency increases, many previously unknown normal variations, physiologic uptakes and incidental findings have been revealed.
